JBH wines is family owned and operated with a diverse and talented team that is passionate about taking our wines to the world. Our wealth of experience in the wine industry, logistics and export means we can consistently deliver quality outcomes for our clients:
Dean Compton – Chief Executive Officer
Dean is recognised as a leading figure in South Australia’s wine export industry. Dean was one of the first South Australian wine producers to export wine to China in 2004 and today, has developed an enviable network of relationships across a wide range of markets in Asia and beyond. Dean brings together 30 years’ experience in sales, marketing, logistics and the wine industry to ensure clients receive a quality, seamless service - from wine production to exporting and importing.
Matt Compton – Winemaker Assistant
Matt is the seventh generation of the JBH wine family in South Australia, and is passionate about putting his mark on the JBH Wines brand. Whether it be rolling up his sleeves and helping at vintage, controlling samples, or working alongside our Chief Winemaker, Matt is our quiet achiever. We are looking forward to watching his talents in the wine industry develop and evolve in the coming years

Shane Compton – JBH Vineyard Operations Manager
Shane Compton oversees the family farming operations, including our JBH vineyard at McLaren Vale. Shane has more than 25 years’ experience in the agricultural industry, including viticulture, horticulture, dairy, broadacre farming and grazing. JBH Wines is fortunate to have his highly regarded skills and experience eye looking over our fruit. Shane works closely with our winery team to ensure our clients get the best from every vintage.
